Well, what can I say... It's nice to support the local innkeepers and restaurants in the current situation, but when things go that way ... The weekly menu sounded very tasty with "Beef roulades with dumplings or spaetzle and red cabbage or Brussels sprouts". Since it was Sunday and we suspected a certain "rush" for this dish, I ordered the meal in advance at 11:30 am in order to collect it at 7:00 pm. One should think in time! 2 x roulade with Brussels sprouts, 1 x with dumplings and 1 x with fried potatoes (I asked, wasn't a problem), with the request for a little more sauce than last time, it was a little bit bad. In addition, 2 x side salad. Punctually at 7:00 p.m. we picked up the food, it was handed over to us with the words "the roulades with Brussels sprouts". When we got home, we found that the side dish was not Brussels sprouts, but the unwanted red cabbage. Well, it can happen. So called again and asked, you could have exchanged it with a 3km journey (which we assumed!). The lady on the phone said she had to ask in the kitchen, from which one could hear the boss loudly and snottily "yell" when asked about the Brussels sprouts: "Brussels sprouts are out, how often should I say that ?!" The lady on the phone gave me the same thing, which I explicitly pointed out to my PRE-ORDER in the late morning. The answer I received was: "It's been out since noon" .... Strange when you look at the pick-up times and are not told anything when you order. We were also not called to tell us that an ordered meal is over. The end of the song was 2 roulades with a side dish and, for us, WITHOUT a vegetable side dish (there is a reason why you order something and not something else !!!), the fried potatoes were completely unseasoned. Salad and sauce, as well as the roulades (except for the scraps of yarn that still hung on one of them) ok. But all in all it was clearly too expensive for that (as there was no vegetable side dish for us), the "troubleshooting" on the part of the restaurant was unprofessional and the "blaring manner" of the cook was unprofessional. Unfortunately it was the third "to-go" contact with the store that was not satisfactory! every time the same "I don't care" attitude, if you then justifiably complain. - 1x no sauce for a dish with sauce - 1x just a teaspoon braised onions with the schnitzel with braised onions - and now this disaster on Sunday Conclusion: Simple home-style cooking where one or two things go wrong, which is what it is ... you can do that at home (much cheaper) too.

Chosen by chance, because we had paid a visit to the Vogelburg and what should we say ... An absolute hit! Staff very friendly, the food so delicious. We didn't finish our main course (it was super, not in plastic, packed) so that we could try the Kaiserschmarn. 🤭🥰 My girlfriend (vegan) was also completely satisfied here. Many Thanks!

We were there by recommendation. Everything was ok, but no different from another restaurant. I won't go there a second time. Too far for it to be a "normal" restaurant.

Well Unfortunately I have to say that I didn't have the best experiences with my grandma in this inn, the staff seemed very unplanned to me, which was reflected in everything, food didn't come even after 50 minutes and all inquiries went unheard. Then we paid for the drinks and left, but I would give the restaurant a second chance, but unfortunately the journey is too long for me.

The food was really good. The price performance ratio is also good. He's always happy to come back.

The food was ok. Our waitress, the blonde lady with the glasses, spoiled the evening for us from the beginning with her indignation and her open, derogatory manner. A recommendation to the boss if he wants to keep his restaurant in the memory of his guests: Choose your staff well. We would like to withdraw from this oh-so-great service in the future.

1x jug of coffee, unfortunately no 2 full cups, 1x piece of cake very large and delicious. Nice beer garden. And in Covid-19 times 3 (three) € hygiene surcharge. Is only on the map. No notice when entering the beer garden from the friendly service. Even if the table and chairs are cleaned with disinfectant afterwards, I find the hygiene surcharge inadequate. We all have to look at this time, where we can possibly earn something "extra", but a surcharge due to hygiene, one has to ask whether in normal times the table was never cleaned after leaving the guest?

A family run restaurant that offers a very warm welcome. The food was so good that we ate here twice and saved it for our last night. A varied menu with lots of amazing German cuisine to choose from. Always busy and would highly recommend a stop here for the European tourist. Everything from the setting, to the beers, wine and food was perfect. A well deserved 5*s

Clean, rustic ambience, very cozy atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food. Special wishes were gladly fulfilled, even if one of the "extra sausages" on the communication way to the kitchen got lost. Can happen and was not bad. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant with good home cooking. The staff was very friendly and the wait for the food was fine. The prices are a bit higher than in the region, but the quality is definitely right.
